It is a long term project about airports and their environment started in 2009, I’m taking these pictures when i travel.

After a year I started taking pictures of the airports, I discovered the book by Garry Winogrand “Arrivals & Departures” that inspired me further to continue my project.

It’s amazing looking at the pictures of Garry Winogrand how airports have changed today, when places were open and free to move, now there are control areas, xray machines, police and military with heavy weapon everywere.

Looking at my work, I feel that somehow, this aspect of insecurity, anxiety and loneliness, those airports now transmitted through the space itself.

But at the same time my thought is to represent the places of departures and arrivals.
Type of work C-type.
